Stop the Hatred

Romans 13:1-4

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

It's true..God cares

I moved Aprille's bird feeder this year.  It's hanging on our front porch directly in the center of the bay window.  It's almost inside our home.  But the birds don't seem to mind.  They really just want to eat.  I've watched all types of birds fly in and grab a quick snack.  The Woodpecker, black and blue bids, sparrows and others take turns picking through the seed.

Reminds me of God's care...encourages me too

 Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Today my mom gets the final instruction before her surgery. She's ready to get it over.  June 7 can't come soon enough.  She wants the cancer gone and to begin her healing. Mom is trusting Jesus and she knows Jesus cares about her.....

Our family gathered round the table for a Mother's Day supper tonight.  After the meal, mom was talking about us children.  She said to me (about her mothering), " I didn't do too bad, you didn't come with a book."

But there is a Book.  God's Holy Word.  It's our guide and instruction.  Read it, apply it, trust it....

Good job mom!  Thanks for loving me and Thanks for following God's Word.

i love praise practice!  We sing and sing and sing.  It's glorious except for the bad notes, wrong cords, and off pitch voice harmony.  But still, I love praise practice!  It's Worship and I know God is listening.

Make a joyful noice unto the Lord....

Psalm 100:1-5 Shout with joy before the Lord, O earth! Obey him gladly; come before him, singing with joy. Try to realize what this means—the Lord is God! He made us—we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Go through his open gates with great thanksgiving; enter his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name. For the Lord is always good. He is always loving and kind, and his faithfulness goes on and on to each succeeding generation.
