Stop the Hatred

Romans 13:1-4

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. It's true..God cares

I moved Aprille's bird feeder this year.  It's hanging on our front porch directly in the center of the bay window.  It's almost inside our home.  But the birds don't seem to mind.  They really just want to eat.  I've watched all types of birds fly in and grab a quick snack.  The Woodpecker, black and blue bids, sparrows and others take turns picking through the seed.

Reminds me of God's care...encourages me too

 Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Today my mom gets the final instruction before her surgery. She's ready to get it over.  June 7 can't come soon enough.  She wants the cancer gone and to begin her healing. Mom is trusting Jesus and she knows Jesus cares about her.....

Our family gathered round the table for a Mother's Day supper tonight.  After the meal, mom was talking about us children.  She said to me (about her mothering), " I didn't do too bad, you didn't come with a book."

But there is a Book.  God's Holy Word.  It's our guide and instruction.  Read it, apply it, trust it....

Good job mom!  Thanks for loving me and Thanks for following God's Word.

i love praise practice!  We sing and sing and sing.  It's glorious except for the bad notes, wrong cords, and off pitch voice harmony.  But still, I love praise practice!  It's Worship and I know God is listening.

Make a joyful noice unto the Lord....

I'm glad FAITH is not about FEELING.  No matter if my days are Good or Bad, I'm holding to my FAITH in JESUS.

It's all Worship

My body aches today.  Aprille feels like she's been run over by a train.  No....we were not in an accident, we've been painting the Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church parsonage.  We've been painting for a couple weeks and there's still a ways to go.  But things are really beginning to look great. 

 I'm thankful God has provided a home for my family.   I don't mind all the hard work because It's All Worship as I see it.  We Worship Him with thanksgiving.   Painting is Praising!  The truth is God always knows our need and supplies according to His good favor.  I know that God loves my family and for that I am most grateful. 

"Seek His Kingdom and these things will be added to you"    Luke 12:31


Father, I praise You and Worship You and thank You for all Your blessing on my life.  To God be the Glory, AMEN!

Day by Day

Today I was reading about the beginning of Christ's Church and the truth jumped off the page right into my heart.  We must continue day by day for Jesus in order for His Church to grow.  

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.   (Acts 2:42-47; NKJV)

Super 8 Blessing....

Just arrived at the Super 8 in Salisbury, NC. Faith has another volleyball tournament tomorrow. On the way up, I found out that our room was paid for already. What a wonderful surprise and BLESSING!! God does things like that when we need it most. Awesome Praise!!

Nurishment

Rainy days are made by the Lord too. It's a great time to just sit at the kitchen table and watch the bird feeder or look out at the water or study the Word. No need of getting in a hurry! Relaxing!

Precious

I'm sitting here with Mr. Joe as Chemo is put into his body. Cancer is such a harsh word, a reflection of a harsh disease. It makes me angry. It confuses me too.

But in the midst of my anger and confusion, peace enters. She is so kind. She is so concerned for my friend. She rubs Joe's shoulder and gets him everything he needs to make him comfortable. She smiles!

Her name is Judy but lets call her Precious!

Thank you Lord!

Listen and obey

When God says, "Try" He's really saying "Trust." Don't allow the enemy to steal your victory. Claim Jesus, claim victory!
Just do it!
