What if...
when I'm trying to get to sleep and I have friends I love on my mind, could it be that the Holy Spirit is prompting me to pray for them because they are in need or maybe they are praying for me at that very moment because of my need? I don't know but I do know that God knows. God knows everything. God knows what I need and God knows what my friends need. God knows our hearts. God knows how to get our attention too. Sleepless nights; sleep-less and pray-more nights!
1Th 5:6 "Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."

Wonderful words... and I love the spiritual implications of "sleep-less, pray-more nights..." May we be found in the quiet places on our faces before Him, yes, praying for our friends and for ourselves. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

ReplyDeleteGod always does have a way of getting our attention. We do not always hear Him because we are too busy to listen. So...in the quiet of a sleepless night listen...
